This is the last layout of the week for 2014! And, this week the honor goes to Peggy for this treasure:

I can't say enough about this layout. First, the picture: can babies get any cuter? I love it so much! And, Peggy's design is elegant! From the fussy cutting to the beautiful arrangement of the embellies- it's perfect and does exactly what layouts should do: draw your eye right to the picture.

Congrats, Pegs! Thanks for uploading your creations in the gallery!

Hello everyone!
This Christmas time is so inspiring. I am sure you have many photos taken during these holidays that are needed to be scrapped with this December Kit.

I used a cute photo of my kids and embellished it with flowers.
To make them look more frosty I used some simple techniques, that you can find in my video tutorial.
While making the flowers I wanted to think outside the box and made some unusual tips that I don't use for my regular projects.

Hope you will like it.

Also, I am a savvy scrapper, so I used the excess of gesso for priming my background.

This is my last project as a Guest Designer.
I want to thank Krissy and Rae, who have invited me and let me such a great chance to be an inspiration for so many amazing and talented subscribers during the last 2 months.
I want to thank everyone
who supported me and left me comments on my works.
I appreciate your time and interest,
and would be very happy if you could check more of my tips on my blog

Hello everyone!
Elena is here to share a very simple idea on how to create a mini album/ book for your Christmas memories.

I used just 1 sheet of cardstock and 2 sheets of Kaisercraft papers from the main kit. And it is almost all that you need to recreate a small mini book, where you can make some notes or add some photos taken during the holidays.

Here are some close ups:

Hope you will enjoy my video tutorial too:

oooo

and I wish all of you avery Merry Christmas !
may your holiday be filled with lots of warm memories!!!

Hello everyone! Are you all set for Christmas? I am for sure and wanted to share my last Christmas projects with the Joyeux Noel Kit.
This is one of the many pictures I took of my kids last Christmas. I loved the colors I used on my tag at reveal. So, I did the same colors and techniques but on a scrapbook page.

Here is a quick card I made under 20 minutes using my scraps.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

Hi Everyone! Amarilys here sharing with you some of my Joyeux Noel December Kit projects! I just loved this kit and had so much fun working on these layouts and projects!

Here are two more layouts that I made:
My hubby and I did our own mini Christmas photo session last year and we had a lot of fun doing it! We laughed and teased each other, all the while clicking away (we have a hand held clicker for taking our own pictures!) and these are some of the more fun pictures from that session! I turned these photos B&W and printed them 3"x4". I used the gorgeous huge red poinsettia and some of the smaller red poinsettias from the Add On Flower Kit. I painted the corrugated cardboard (box where my kit came it!) with brown and white acrylic paint and then added some random splatters of the gorgeous Lumin'arte Silks Glaze Paint - Love Struck included int he kit! I also painted my chippie title with it!

I just love how this second layout turned out! My mother in law took this picture of my hubby and I on Christmas day in front of our tree last year and I just LOVE it! Our tree was white, silver and blue but we wore red and green so I kept the colors on this layout to a minimum to make the picture the focal point. I used all the neutral embellies in the kit and on the Add On Flower Kits for this layout. The title chippie and cheese cloth are from my stash.

Last but not least, here's a Christmas card I made for a family member:

I kept it pretty simply and not too thick for mailing purposes. I pop dotted the ornaments and hand stitched the strings holding the ornaments with brown floss to add some texture. I also punched and added green oak leaves to my tree. I finished it off by distressing the edges and machine stitching the card front unto my card base.

Thanks for taking your time to check out my projects! If you want to see all the projects I made with this kit, please stop by my blog!

Our layout of the week goes to Mamadonald!

This is Mamadonald's take on the Autumn Rose sketch, and it looks amazing! I just adore the masking and the distressing, and she did such a fabulous job of following the sketch to incorporate the multiple pics, which are so pretty! Congrats!

Welcome back to DAY NINE of the 12 Days of Christmas Contest! Amy here with your next assignment!

Your Assignment: Make a gift card holder using non-traditional colors and a border punch! Easy peasy! :)

Here's what I made for your inspiration:

The inside with a gift card:

Of course this gift card holder is only for inspiration only and you can give it your own twist, using your own supplies. I do have a step by step tutorial on my blog on how to make this one in particular if you are interested.

For this gift card holder, I used a Kaisercraft paper from their St Nicholas Collection and a Bo Bunny paper from their Silver & Gold Collection from our December kit as well as the Tim Holtz rub-ons. From my stash I used white (base) and brown cardstock, Heartfelt Creations holly leaf stamps & dies, The Paper Studio Holly A2 Embossing Folder, the Martha Stewart Scallop 3 dot Punch, and gold trim and ribbon.

Make your project and upload it to the gallery in the contest section by midnight (EST), TONIGHT! The winner will be posted later in the contest section.

Welcome to Day Eight of our 12 Days of Christmas Contest!
We LOVE seeing the projects y'all have created so far, and Oh My Gosh....
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
(you need to hum the tune along with the words)
in our Gallery and we can't wait to see more!

YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Create/alter at least 2 Christmas ornaments!
Incorporate bling/pearls,  music note paper/old book paper,  little angel/snowflake
and upload your project in the gallery by midnight, EST!
Here are some examples:

Some music note paper, wrapped around a glass ornament, finished of with an little angel and some pearls.

I used a decoupage technique on this one. Teared old book paper in little pieces and used Multi Medium to add the paper to the glass ornament.
**TIP** Lightly mist the pieces of paper with water, this way they are easier to work with. Then finished it of.

How about some fake snow (powder) inside the bauble? The feathers and Prima Marketing Resin are so pretty together.

This one has definitely some color, and was done in NO time.

I love this Ornate Frame Die from Tim Holtz. So versatile and gives you the opportunity to create beautiful Christmas Ornaments.

This, vintage Santa, one is double sided. I cut 2 ornate frames and glued a piece of transperancy between them. This is the front of my ornament and in the picture below you can see how the back looks.

I hope you feel inspired already.

Again, YOUR ASSIGNMENT: Create/alter at least 2 Christmas ornaments!
Incorporate bling/pearls,  music note paper/old book paper,  little angel/snowflake
and upload your project in the gallery by midnight, EST!
We can't wait to see YOUR ornaments!
